Writer

The Organization

ScienceForWork is one of the leading authorities on Evidence-Based Practice in the field of Management, Leadership and Human Resources. We are a non-profit foundation, composed of international evidence-based practitioners who volunteer their time because they want to #MakeWorkBetter. Our mission is to provide relevant, trustworthy and actionable insights from behavioral science to leaders and decision-makers.

The Role

Our writers have the most important role in our journey to fulfill our mission: they communicate directly with our audience, creating trustworthy and accessible Evidence Summaries.

As writer, you will work on examining practical HR and Management issues through an evidence-based lens. You will access the most recent and relevant scientific evidence, critically evaluate its quality and trustworthiness, and summarize findings and implications for practice in less than 1000 words.

All our Evidence Summaries are the result of a thorough editorial and peer-review process. You will collaborate with and receive feedback from other writers to make sure that your message reaches our target audience. At times you will be asked to review the work of other writers as part of this process.

Who Are We Looking For

You are passionate about writing and behavioral science at work, and you love to think critically about people management issues.

You are knowledgeable about evidence-based management and HR, have a good understanding of research methods and statistics, and you will be curious to learn even more!

Finally, you are conscientious, dependable, flexible with your daily schedule and great at managing your time.

During our onboarding program, the world’s top subject matter experts the Center for Evidence-Based Management (CEBMa) – will teach you the most advanced concepts of evidence-based practice. Moreover, you will learn the skills you will need to work with us: critically appraising scientific papers, writing in plain English, creating great infographics and working as part of a virtual team. Giving you these opportunities for development and experimentation, along with great visibility on our platform, is our way to give back to you for the time you volunteer.

Finally, you will be able to write from where you want, when you want, as we are an international team that collaborates online.
